Deposit and Job Cash-Flow Planner

Map customer payments against purchasing, payroll, and installation costs to see when a job needs cash.

Shared shop rates

Save rates once and apply them when needed. Labor is cost per productive person-hour; overhead is separate. Values are stored only in this browser.

Example inputs. Replace them with your shop’s numbers.

Cash timing

List events in order. Split an event into two rows if a cost is paid before its related customer payment. Payment percentages must total 100%.

Results

Include every cash outlay for this job, including relevant tax payments and overhead cash allocations. This is a timing model, not a legal recommendation for a deposit percentage.

How this is calculated

  • Stage receipts = total customer payments × stage payment percentage.
  • Stage net cash = receipts − costs. Balance = starting cash + cumulative net cash.
  • Extra funding needed = the amount by which the lowest stage-end balance falls below zero.

All money inputs use USD. Calculations retain full precision; displayed amounts are rounded. Drafts save on this device when browser storage is available. Export your worksheet to keep a separate copy.
